Are We Agents of Communion?

How disappointing would it be to get snubbed at the banquet table in heaven?! Heaven is a place free of all division and prejudice. And Jesus is “living bread came down from heaven.” He nourishes us with that heavenly reality. But as Catholics, are we uniquely agents of that reality? Are we distinctly, in our families, neighborhoods and city, Agents of Communion?

What area of your heart is still rocky ground? What area of your life needs to be renewed so that the grace of Communion may more fully take root?
Is there someone in your life that you might feel called to invite to come over to your home to “break bread” together but you are hesitant because you differ in race, culture, social status, personality or any other factor? How can you overcome that division?
Is there a creative way in your parish or circles of friends that you can help bring folks together who normally wouldn’t “break bread” together?
How can you more greatly appreciate the gift of Corpus Christi? How can Jesus—come down to us as “living bread”—before more so the center of your life? How can your example as a Catholic—a person of Communion—be more robustly lived out?
